Wise Body: Writing From Your Feminine Knowing

People of all genders have feminine and masculine parts, but within Western societies it is the feminine part that is eclipsed—and often harmed—in order to hold the masculine at greatest value. Women's experiences have been silenced for too long, the feminine part of all of us diminishing in size. In order to be believed in our current culture, we have learned masculine ways of communicating our experience, silencing the visceral, emotional, feminine knowledge within us. We need places to tell our stories and to hold one another’s experiences of harm. This workshop, hosted by Carter Umhau, LMHC (of Pith Therapy) and Jenny Wade, LMHC (of Haven Yoga & Counseling) will help you to explore the ways your experiences have been silenced and to learn to tell your story from the center of your feminine wisdom--your body. Together we will learn to break through the veil of silence that suffocates our soul, in order to find redemption and healing. This workshop is open to all who wish to explore the feminine parts of themselves.

This workshop will focus on group process and writing exercises. Please bring a notebook and a pen.

$60 cost includes light snacks and tea.
